Deja Vu

I'm that kind of person, who lives inside the science world.
Magic and miracles, for me, were nothing but a mystic swirl.
Until that day, that moment in time, that point in universe.
Which should be the ultimate only, or the theory of life would submerse.

Given my eidetic memory, I can rationally say you've never been in my life.
But something inside me doesn't feel that way, and no doubt started an inward strife.
I don't get why my curiosity gets so attracted to you, you're just an existence in the crowd.
Still I conjured an interaction, with as much exposition as my controlled impulse has allowed.

Your slightly confused yet appealing eyes told me a story that I couldn't put into words.
But like a splash of spring water, hearing your voice broke through all my soul's passwords.
Yes I remember you, but yes we haven't met before.
I smiled at the thought of how 'me five minutes ago' would have reacted, and calmly reached for the door.

For I know this encounter will not be the last,
And it's definitely not the first.
